Why JuiceU?
Is it a craze, the next trend, or a genuine way to reboot and get on track to a healthy lifestyle? Yes, I think it is all of the above.
1. We watched Joe's movie.
2. Got a juicer.
3. We've been experimenting with juices in preparation for our first 10 day fast.
I'd like to do more, but the moment i think it's more then 10 days, something inside of me panics. We begin Sunday. I hope this will be the first stepping stone towards a more health conscious lifestyle for my husband and I.
It will make cooking time nonexistent, and I'll have way less dishes to wash.
It's a win win situation.
Let's go!
Day 2
So here we are into day two. This morning my wife and I tried an orange/carrot juice combination. It was great because the oranges overpowered the carrot, which for me was great because I've never been a big fan of carrot juice. We used 4 oranges and 4 carrots for this mornings juice. For our upcoming fast we will need lots more fruits to yield all the glasses we will need. For lunch, with my wife out, I decided to try a blend of carrot, tomatoes, and cucumber. I put in four carrots, two small tomatoes and one small cucumber and gave it a whirl. I was hoping the tomato would over power the carrot, and at first it did, but when I set the drink down and went to clean the juicer, the carrot juice had taken over, and it was a bit of a struggle to finish the rest of the glass. Clearly I need to mix better before I drink.

The first Juice
The first juice we tried was simple and basic. My wife and I decided to juice some apples, for a pure and simple juice. No real fuss, no experimentation, just a basic mono flavor juice. We both like store bought Apple Juice, so we figured this would be something we would enjoy. We where right! It was fantastic, and so fresh. Like sticking a straw in an apple! We look forward to more juices in the future, and our upcoming Juice fast, as featured on the documentary Fat, Sick and nearly Dead. That is what got us excited to try juicing in the first place. This blog will detail our adventures into the world of juicing. Stay tuned for the juicy details! (Sorry I couldn't resist!)
